You know that laugh you hear of pure joy? Utter happiness and excitement that comes from this deep rooted uncontrollable emotion. So the best kind, right? And even better when it comes from a toddler. Especially one that discovers how fun it is riding your bike down a hill. As fun as it was watching him discover this new adventure, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that yes I was totally happy and proud, but there was a mixture of a heart attack on stand by. The last thing I’d ever want to see was Raisin’s little body fall off his strider.
He did have one tumble right near the end. Of course I flew off my bike and went into mama mode of snuggles and encouragement of how well he did. But a few moments later he went down the hill again and decided it was time for a snack. After downing a yogurt tube he was so tired he didn’t want to ride his bike home! Fair enough as we’d been out for over 2.5 hours. Sooooo, I carried him 3 blocks home and poor Chris managed to wrangle all 3 bikes back! That said, it was a pretty fabulous spring day all around. Hopefully the weather picks up again to re-visit the hill that made this lil guys day!
