My list of things to do for the fall is pretty simple – it’s actually summed down to one item really. BE OUTSIDE. Why? Well it’s for A LOT of reasons. Mainly because the temperature’s just right, the mosquitos are at an all time low, it’s criminal to be indoors when cold temps are around the corner and because without stating the obvious – it’s amazing out there. Besides pumpkin picking, bike rides and leaf jumping – it’s energizing to be outdoors while finding fun things to do as a family.
This weekend was spent outside as much as humanly possible. Aside from driving to the beach and back it was the only time we were cooped up in a car. We picnicked, went to the park, went for a bike ride, played with the neighbour, raked leaves and then naturally water balloons came out! We made up our own theme park game of trying to hit specific numbers drawn out in chalk on the fence. Simple activities, great memories and fun times had by all. And of course what would the day be without capping it off with a bon fire and roasting marshmallows?
As September is drawing to a close I’m anxious for October and slightly nervous. Not sure about you, but seeing that belly in these photos makes me realize how HUGE it is and that soon enough we’ll have another teeny tiny Raisin in this house…eeeee! Excited and bunched up with a hell of alotta nerves! But that won’t take away from our fun fall days.
